Marka-e-Haq anniversary ceremonies at General Headquarters marked a moment of national pride. Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said this in his address.
Addressing the ceremony, Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan delivered a decisive response to what he described as Indian aggression during the conflict a year ago. He quoted a Quranic verse. Additionally, he said the nation regarded the day as a blessing and a victory granted by Allah.
The chief of defence forces paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the conflict. He said the sacrifices of martyrs would always remain a sacred trust. Furthermore, he said Pakistanis stood together like “a wall of steel” in support of the country’s armed forces.
Field Marshal Asim Munir praised Pakistan’s youth for countering what he called enemy propaganda. He said their response showed national resolve during the Marka-e-Haq and strengthened public support for Pakistan’s defence institutions.

The army chief said Pakistan Air Force set a new benchmark in aerial warfare during the conflict. He said Pakistani troops on the Line of Control and eastern border forced the enemy to retreat. In addition, aircraft and missile systems targeted 26 Indian positions.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan’s military doctrine focused on peace rather than aggression. He added that modern and future wars would span multiple domains, requiring advanced weapons, new thinking and updated military strategies.
The chief of defence forces said any future aggression against Pakistan would carry consequences beyond a limited conflict. He described Pakistan as an “unconquerable power” and called the strategic defence agreement with Saudi Arabia a major diplomatic achievement.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan was playing an effective and impartial role in global diplomacy. He added that the United States and Iran trusted Pakistan’s leadership. In the same remarks, he thanked Donald Trump for acknowledging Pakistan’s mediation efforts.
He said terrorism against Pakistan continued from India and Afghanistan. Furthermore, he urged Afghan authorities to stop their territory from being used for attacks. Separately, Dar said Pakistan had contributed to ceasefire efforts in Lebanon through diplomatic engagement.
