Manchester City clinched their fourth consecutive Premier League title with a 3-1 win over West Ham. Phil Foden’s double and a goal from Rodri powered Pep Guardiola’s team to victory, while Mohammed Kudus scored a consolation for the visitors.
Manchester City has become the only team to win four successive league titles, surpassing Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United. Under Guardiola’s leadership, City continues to dominate the highest level of English football.
The celebrations started early when Foden, the Premier League Player of the Season, scored with a stunning strike outside the penalty area in the second minute. He added a second in the 18th minute, sweeping in Jeremy Doku’s low cross, taking his season total to 19 goals and eight assists.
The game had tense moments, as Kudus scored with an overhead kick just before halftime. However, any anxiety was quelled when Rodri sealed the win with a side-footed shot from Bernardo Silva’s setup 30 minutes later.
Despite not needing a win as Arsenal drew with Everton, City showcased their dominance with 74% possession and 28 shots, 12 of which were on target. In stark contrast, West Ham managed just three shots, leaving goalkeeper Alphonse Areola to make nine saves.
