“Let’s join hands for country”, Ayaz Sadiq requests Imran Khan

PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz  said that “every single one of Imran Khan’s allegations had been proven false and, therefore, it was high time for him to join the political process to build Pakistan instead of dragging the country back through the politics of agitation.”

Accompanied by the NA-122 winner Ayaz Sadiq, Hamza was addressing a huge gathering of party workers who gathered at the PML-N Secretariat in Model Town to celebrate victory.

Hamza said God Almighty had granted the PML-N, Nawaz Sharif and Ayaz Sadiq with the honour of emerging as victors in the people’s court. He said at a time when Pakistan was facing the greatest challenges of all times, the country could not withstand internal inertia.

He said the current time demanded all political parties worked as a cohesive force to eliminate terrorism, build a better economy and make Pakistan energy self-sufficient to rejuvenate industries.

Hamza said winning or losing was part of politics and the PML-N was a mature political party which understood that it would be naive to get high on the latest win as there were far bigger milestones to achieve.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa needed PTI’s attention and Imran and his party, instead of wasting their entire energies and resources on agitation, should focus on solving the grave problems in the province. He asked Imran to listen to his advice before the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan lost their faith in him.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq started his speech in Imran’s favourite cricketing terminology, saying he had now scored a hat-trick over the PTI chief. He said Imran was the leader of a popular party and had the obligation of grooming the youth of the democratic Pakistan. Therefore, he, instead of teaching them agitation, indecent language and rude behaviour, should educate them about better values, morality and coexistence which were the core ethics of democracy, Ayaz added.

He said he did not have enough words to thank God Almighty, the PML-N leadership and the people enough for having faith and supporting him with all they had.

Ayaz said he, not for a moment, felt being alone in the battle of nerves and pride as the party leadership always backed him. He went on to say that “this victory would be completed only on the day when Imran agrees to work with him and other political parties for a progressive Pakistan.”

Ayaz said he forgave Imran for all the indecent and rude remarks against him and his party leadership and wanted to start a new political era of mutual respect and working as a joint force to fight poverty and terrorism in the country.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated PML-N candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on his success and said it was a victory of politics of public service.

The fake politics of those trying to purchase the conscious people of Lahore with currency notes had been exposed, he added.

Shahbaz said the people had buried the politics of lies, allegations and hypocrisy forever, with the politics of public service being the winner.

The chief minister said the politics of stubbornness and those creating hurdles in the journey to development of the country had been defeated. He said the people had totally rejected the “Qabza Mafia” and defaulters.
