Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have arrested yet another Afghan agent in Taxila
According to sources, an operative of the Afghan National Army, identified as Noor Agha was arrested from Mashriqi Abad area of Taxila.
The accused, who was carrying a fake computerized national identity card, was staying in the area for long.
Sources said that the accused was formally part of Afghan National Army from 2012 to 2015 and during the period he used to visit Afghanistan quite frequently.
They said that the suspect was still on the mission of spying in Pakistan. Investigations are in progress, the sources added.
On May 26, Security forces had arrested six militants belonging to Afghanistan’s intelligence agency who were involved in various acts of terrorism on Pakistani soil.
They were planted by Afghan intelligence agency National Directorate of Security and confessed to killing more than 40 Pakistanis, security officials said.
