Beyoncé’s “Morning Dew (Donk)” has drawn attention ahead of the 2027 Grammy Awards after a Columbia Records promotional flyer sparked speculation about its submission.
A participant in the Gold Derby music forum claimed on Thursday that the singer had entered the track for Grammy consideration.
The discussion followed Beyoncé’s appearance on a Columbia Records “For Your Grammy Consideration” flyer. However, the material does not establish which categories, if any, the label selected.
Released on July 4, the single returned Beyoncé to the R&B sound associated with her earlier recordings. The song featured in the 20th-anniversary celebrations of her second solo album, B’Day, originally released in 2006.
Meanwhile, Grammy speculation has focused on another career milestone. Beyoncé currently holds 99 Grammy nominations and 35 wins, making her the most-nominated and most-awarded artist in the ceremony’s history.

One nomination for “Morning Dew (Donk)” would take her career total to 100. The singer’s return to R&B has also prompted discussion about potential recognition in the genre categories.
However, neither the Recording Academy nor Columbia Records has confirmed the song’s specific category placements in the available material.
