Separately, K-Electric spokesperson Imran Rana warned on Friday that gas shortages could require cuts during evening and nighttime peak hours. He linked constraints on regasified liquefied natural gas to international supply disruptions and delayed cargoes.
“Daytime supply will remain largely stable,” Rana said in a statement on X.
He described additional peak-hour interruptions as a last resort. Rana said K-Electric was coordinating with Pakistan LNG Limited and relevant authorities to restore normal supply.
