To be or not to be that is the question? Lawmakers in National Assembly will debate on de-seating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers from the parliament or not in the assembly session today (Thursday).
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) has announced to table a a new resolution in the parliament today.
Earlier on Monday, the government delegation held negotiations in a bid to bring him (Maulana) round for withdrawing his motion against PTI.
During the dialogues, Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid continued consultations with PML-N top leadership and Maulana Fazl with his party aides.
The two sides concluded the drawn-out talks sans the announcement regarding withdrawal of anti-PTI motion. However, the media was told that a new resolution will be introduced at today’s NA session.
Talking to the media after meeting with the JUI-F chief, Pervaiz Rashid said that on the appeal of Prime Minister, JUI-F chief Maluana Fazlur Rahman would present a new resolution in the National Assembly on the issue of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).
The minister said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had proved his broad-heartedness and that he loved democracy.

“Strengthening democracy is actually aimed at upholding Constitution,” he added.
Earlier yesterday, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq telephoned Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London-based leader, Altaf Hussain, and discussed resolution against PTI lawmakers.
It should be mentioned here that MQM and JUI-F announced to table two separate resolutions in the National Assembly seeking de-seating of 28 PTI MNAs, including Imran Khan. However; the PML-N and PPP have refused to support the motions.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq appealed Altaf Hussain to withdraw his party’s resolutions.
The conversation between the Speaker and MQM chief lasted for about ten minutes, sources said.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, while addressing the National Assembly, announced that his ruling party would not support the resolutions.
