The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) suspended earlier today the Dosti Bus service, that shuttles between Lahore and Delhi after caste violence engulfed the volatile Indian state of Haryana.
Manager of the bus service said 20 passengers had booked seats to travel to Delhi, who have now been notified about the postponement.
At least ten people have so far died in caste protests in the north Indian state.
The Jat caste is leading the protests, demanding quotas for government jobs and university placements, saying they are struggling to find employment and education opportunities despite India’s strong economic growth.
