Kiara Advani, currently promoting her upcoming film Game Changer, is facing backlash for her recent social media post. The actress shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video praising choreographer Jani Master, who faces allegations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Following the release of the song Dhop from Game Changer, Kiara posted a video from her dance practice sessions. In the caption, she praised Jani Master, writing:
“I remember seeing @alwaysjani master’s choreography and thinking how are we going to do this, but that’s the beauty of our job, always learning something new.”
Her shoutout quickly drew criticism online, with fans and social media users expressing discontent.
Allegations Against Jani Master
Jani Master, a prominent Telugu choreographer, was accused of raping and mentally harassing a 16-year-old ex-employee. The allegations led to his booking under the POCSO Act. Following the controversy, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting suspended his National Film Award, which he won for choreographing the song Megham Karukkatha.

This background reignited outrage, with users labelling Kiara’s post as tone-deaf. One commenter wrote,
“Tone-deaf, especially when even his national award was taken back after the uproar over granting him bail.”
Another user added,
“The so-called cream of the crop are truly built differently, they come across as tone-deaf and completely lacking morals.”
