In Karachi, authorities have detained two individuals with alleged ties to India’s intelligence agency, RAW, averting a significant terrorist threat.

SSP Korangi Hassan Sardar Niazi revealed the capture of Khawar Hussain and Jabar during a collaborative operation between the Korangi Industrial Area police and intelligence agencies, which was informed by technical evidence.

The preliminary inquiry disclosed that these suspects were engaged in surveillance activities, relaying detailed information and photographs to foreign handlers.

SSP Sardar said substantial funds were transferred to their foreign bank accounts, suggesting a sophisticated network. Ongoing investigations are anticipated to reveal additional insights.

The involvement of RAW in destabilizing activities on Pakistani territory has been a contentious issue, historically underscored by the arrest of Kulbhushan Yadav in Pakistan, an event that exposed the extent of RAW’s espionage and its role in fostering terrorism across various nations—a claim substantiated by admissions from India’s defence leadership.

Furthermore, historical instances, such as the alleged RAW-initiated plots targeting Sikh leaders on international soil, including in Australia, Canada, and the USA, highlight the agency’s extensive global reach. These activities have precipitated numerous diplomatic conflicts, leading to the expulsion of Indian diplomats suspected of espionage and subversive acts.

Such episodes emphasize the global repercussions of state-sponsored terrorism and the necessity for international vigilance and measures against India to mitigate further conflict escalations.
