TEHRAN, Iran: The Iranian military capabilities remained central to Doha negotiations with the United States after months of U.S. and Israeli strikes targeted Tehran’s missile, drone, naval and air-defence networks.
Iranian officials were in Qatar for mediated talks more than four months after heavy U.S. and Israeli air attacks across Iran.
The negotiations followed a June 17 memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States to end the war.
Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, said targets were already selected if large-scale strikes resume, Israeli media reported.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said any threat against Iran’s people or leadership would receive an immediate response.

The United States claimed it struck more than 13,000 targets in Iran, while Israel reported about 10,800 strikes on around 4,000 targets.
U.S. Central Command chief Brad Cooper told lawmakers that more than 85 per cent of Iran’s ballistic missile, drone and naval defence-industrial base had been damaged or destroyed.
Al Jazeera reported that Iran’s missile force remains central to how Tehran fights and signals, despite losses to production sites and launch infrastructure.

The underground Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps missile networks, including sites near the Strait of Hormuz, remained partly intact or were being restored.
The Institute for Science and International Security said satellite imagery showed Iran covering the Taleghan 2 facility at Parchin with soil and concrete protection.
