Iran bank cyberattack disruptions forced Bank Melli, Bank Saderat and Bank Tejarat to temporarily suspend card-related operations, the Informatics Services Corporation said Tuesday.
The state-owned banking technology provider told state TV that the suspension was aimed at preventing further unauthorised access. It said cybersecurity teams were working to restore normal operations.
The company’s public relations head said ATM services, point-of-sale terminals and mobile applications linked to card systems were affected.
Iranian state media cited the Central Bank of Iran as saying the latest problems should be resolved by Wednesday morning. It said all services would then return to normal.
The disruption followed a June 14 cyberattack that affected major banks, including Melli, Saderat, Tejarat and the Export Development Bank of Iran.
The Iranian Banking Coordination Council said the earlier attack targeted a shared communication system. Iranian media said that the incident took several days to resolve.

Officials said the June 14 incident did not compromise customer data, according to Iranian media.
Iran has not named any suspect in the latest cyberattacks. Authorities have previously blamed hostile foreign actors, including Israel, for similar incidents, while Israel has not commented on those allegations.
