Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Alexey Dedov has said that talks are underway regarding the provision of state-of-the-art gunship platforms to Pakistan and the PM’ advisor on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz will be visiting Moscow in this regard from June 18 to 20.
During a press briefing held in Islamabad yesterday, the Russian Ambassador stated “Pakistan has placed an order for the purchase of MI-35 helicopters from Russia.” He said that talks are ongoing in this regard, while there were no sanctions imposed on Pakistan in defense sector.
The Russian Ambassador said that Russia is concerned about increasing terrorism in Pakistan and his country will provide all possible assistance to Pakistan for counter-terrorism.
