In February, at eight months pregnant, Gal Gadot experienced a major health scare when an MRI showed a blood clot in her brain following weeks of intense headaches.
The “Wonder Woman 1984” actress shared this alarming experience in an Instagram post, emphasizing the fragility of life and the swift changes it can undergo.
Within hours of her diagnosis, Gadot underwent emergency surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. In this distressing time, her fourth daughter, Ori, was born—a moment rife with uncertainty and fear.

Gadot, alongside her husband, film producer Jaron Varsano, parents four daughters: Alma, 13; Maya, 7; Daniella, 3; and nine-month-old Ori. The couple married in September 2008. The name Ori, meaning “my light,” was deliberately chosen, symbolizing hope for Gadot during her recovery.
Post-surgery, Gadot expressed profound gratitude for her recovery, attributing her health to the exceptional care provided by her medical team. She shared valuable insights from her ordeal: the importance of listening to one’s body and recognising signs that could indicate serious health issues. She stressed the significance of awareness, noting that cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), though rare, can occur in pregnant women over 30 and is treatable if caught early.
