FIFA named BTS, Shakira and Madonna for the World Cup halftime show at the 2026 final. The show is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The lineup was announced on FIFA’s Instagram account on Wednesday, May 13. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is curating the final halftime show, according to Us Weekly and the source material.
FIFA previously said Global Citizen would work with the football governing body to organise the first halftime show at a FIFA World Cup final. The final is set for New York-New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19, 2026, FIFA said.
The show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. FIFA said it aims to raise $100 million to expand access to education and football for children worldwide.
The source material said the performance is expected to run 11 minutes. It will feature the three global music acts during the tournament’s final.

FIFA World Cup 2026 will begin on June 11 and will be staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The final will close the expanded 48-team tournament.
