A number of militants including Taliban commanders from North Waziristan have reached Karachi to hide after military offensive was launched in the tribal region, according to intelligence sources.
Law enforcement agencies have warned that the fugitive militants could launch terrorist attacks in the city with the help of the Taliban already present here.
it is alleged in the report that militants have hideouts and safe havens in some Katchi Abadis of Karachi.
The report also disclosed that the agencies have advised the government of Sindh in written about monitoring of the entry and exit routes of the city but the step is not being taken due to involvement of some high ups in smuggling.
