An Election Tribunal on Wednesday declared annulled elections at PP 136 of Punjab provincial assembly. At PP136 Col. (Rtd) Shujaat Ali of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) won May 2013 elections. However, independent candidate Mohammad Wakeel filed an application, stating that the elections were rigged.
After the judicial inquiry, Wakeel’s claim proved right and the Election Tribunal nullified the elections. The Election tribunal has advised the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold fresh elections in PP136
