Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) earlier today announced that senate elections will be held on March 5.
Submission of nomination papers for the Senate elections on 52 seats has begun today and will continue till tomorrow whereas it has been made necessary for the candidate to be present while submitting the nomination papers.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on February 16 and 17. Appeals against the rejections could be filed on February 20 and 21 while the appeals would be settled by February 23 and 24 and list of the final candidates will be issued on 25th of this month.
Polling in National and and the four provincial assemblies will be held on March 5.
