China recently unveiled the CR450, its prototype for the next-generation high-speed train, CNN reported on Tuesday. Demonstrated in Beijing on December 29, this train has tested at speeds up to 450 kilometres (281 miles) per hour. It plans to operate regularly at 400 kilometres (248.5 miles) per hour.

China has just unveiled its new next-gen high-speed rail train prototype, the CR450, which can reach speeds of 450 km/h (280 mph).

China's high-speed rail network spans over 28,000 miles (45,000 kilometers), making it the largest in the world.
