Vice president of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Asghar Abbas yesterday was murdered as unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him in Mohalla Garha.
According to the details, Abbas was going back home from the market when unidentified criminals shot him dead.
However, MQM workers and district in-charge reached the hospital immediately after learning about the news.
The MQM workers had the shops of the city shut down due to the murder of the MQM vice president.
A six-member committee has been formed to probe the matter. Moreover, Chief Minister (CM) Shabaz Sharif took notice of the incident and ordered submission of a report.
