Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad yesterday. This was the first one-on-one meeting between the two after quite some time.
The issue of handling the long march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on August 14 was discussed in the meeting as well as the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan and issues related to Internally Displaced Person (IDPs).
The minister said that his meeting with the Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was only for discussing the political and administrative issues in the country and not for anything related to his personal relations with anyone in the party.
