Cambridge International Education confirmed Thursday that a Cambridge paper leak affected AS Level Mathematics Paper 12 (9709) for June 2026 exams across Pakistan, South Asia and other regions.
The board said someone shared the paper prematurely in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Pakistan and South Asia, violating its regulations.
Cambridge said it had launched an investigation to determine the extent of the leak and decide its next steps.
The board said its priority remained ensuring that the incident did not disadvantage students and that it was taking measures to protect exam integrity.
Cambridge advised candidates to continue preparing for and taking upcoming exams while the investigation continues.

The board said senior, experienced experts would decide on future action after reviewing all relevant facts to protect the reliability of grades for universities and other institutions.
Cambridge said it aimed to minimise disruption and stress for students and would provide an update on progress on May 7.
The statement followed online claims that Advanced Subsidiary Mathematics Paper 1, coded Pure Mathematics 1 (9709), appeared on social media before the scheduled exam.
Claims circulating online said the paper was shared in both solved and unsolved formats on platforms such as Reddit and WhatsApp.
The Express Tribune Pakistan also cited sources saying students at a private school examination centre in Karachi, Sindh, raised objections during the exam after claiming they had already seen the paper online. British Council representatives reportedly recorded written statements from affected students.
