After a three-month hiatus, the federal government has decided to appoint Bashir Memon as the new Governor of Sindh.
As per sources and reported on social media platform X, the decision comes as part of an agreement between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), signalling a consensus across major political lines.

Bashir Memon, a former Director-General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the current President of PML-N Sindh, is set to assume the gubernatorial role.
