London: Arsenal Premier League title celebrations continued outside Emirates Stadium at 05:00 BST after Manchester City’s draw at Bournemouth confirmed the club’s first league crown in 22 years.
Players gathered at the training ground before moving to the stadium in north London. Eberechi Eze posted pictures with Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber in the early hours.
Timber posted a video with Saka beside a blacked-out Premier League trophy designed to light up after the title win. Saka said critics were “not laughing any more.”
Myles Lewis-Skelly also referenced the criticism Arsenal faced after three straight second-place finishes. The 19-year-old defender held a champagne bottle and said critics had called the team “bottlers.”
Arsenal fans gathered near Emirates Stadium and in nearby pubs while Manchester City played Bournemouth. Cheers broke out when City failed to win.
