Fox’s live-action sitcom “Animal Control” will move to Sundays on September 27, airing at 8:30 p.m. ET immediately after “The Simpsons” in the network’s fall lineup.
The new slot will begin with the Season 5 premiere. “The Simpsons” Season 38 will open Fox’s comedy block at 8 p.m. ET, according to the fall schedule published by TV Guide.
“Universal Basic Guys” Season 3 will follow “Animal Control” at 9 p.m. ET. “Grimsburg” Season 3 will complete the Sunday lineup at 9:30 p.m. ET.
The schedule introduces a live-action series into Fox’s traditionally animated Sunday block but does not end the network’s animation programming. Three animated comedies remain in the two-hour lineup, TV Insider reported.
“Animal Control,” led by actor Joel McHale, aired on Thursdays during its previous season. TV Guide identifies it as Fox’s only returning live-action comedy in the fall schedule.
