Pakistani British born, Amir Khan returns to action for the first time in more than 12 months when he faced the dangerous Luis Collazo in his first bout in the welterweight catagory.
After 12 rounds, Amir Khan won the welterweight title after beating America’s Luis Collazo at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Amir Khan was too fast and too disciplined for Collazo, flooring him in the fourth round and twice in the 10th.
The judges scored the fight 117-106, 119-104, 119-104 in Khan’s favou
After winning the title, Khan said, “it was not easy to beat Luis Collazo.” Amir Khan also paid tribute to his American trainer Virgil Hunter, who has been in his corner for his last three fights.
