Around 95 suspects including at least 12 Afghan nationals were arrested early today during a search operation in various areas of Peshawar.
On a tip-off, police accompanied by law enforcing agencies conducted search operations in Hayatabad, Faqirabad, Kotwali and other areas of Peshawar early Tuesday morning and rounded up 95 suspected persons including 15 Afghanis.
The police officials said that Afghan nationals were living in the city illegally. The police claimed to have recovered weapons including Kalashnikovs pistols and hundreds of cartridges from the possession of suspects.
