Under Meta’s ownership, WhatsApp has unveiled a new and eagerly awaited picture editing feature for the Desktop variant of the app, according to a report from WABetainfo. The recently launched feature is a “crop tool” integrated into the drawing editor, allowing users to adjust images to fit their needs.
The inclusion of this tool has been highly anticipated, as prior versions of the app lacked this capability. This update now enables WhatsApp beta users on Windows to crop images within the app itself, further streamlining the media editing process for users.
The built-in crop tool feature allows users to conveniently adjust their images without exiting the WhatsApp interface. This feature was initially released to a select group of beta testers, with a wider rollout expected soon.
Previously, WhatsApp enhanced its beta users’ experience on Android by introducing an innovative ‘screen sharing’ feature. This addition aims to improve communication by enabling users to share their screens with others. This allows real-time sharing of documents, photos, or any other content directly from their device’s screen.”
