US Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson said earlier today that the US govt. has issued 8 million dollars to United Nation Food Program (UNFP) for provision of wheat to the IDPs of North Waziristan.
He called on Federal Finance Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar and told him that the US was working in collaboration with the United Nations to help the IDPs. “The US will continue to support the IDPs,” he pledged.
Olson said that an international conference on Diamer Bhasha Dam will be convened in October this year in Washington. It will be jointly organized by Pakistan and USAID.
