Trump Blames Biden’s Immigration Policies for Rising U.S. Crime Rates

President-elect Donald Trump has launched a strong critique against President Joe Biden’s immigration policies, attributing them to the recent increase in violent crime across the United States.

Trump expressed his concerns via Truth Social, pointing to Biden’s “Open Borders Policy” as a catalyst for escalating radical terrorism and violent crime to levels previously unimaginable. He branded Biden as the “WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA” and labelled his administration a “total disaster.” Trump asserted, “Radical Islamic Terrorism and other forms of violent crime will become so bad in America that it will be hard to even imagine or believe. That time has come, only worse than ever imagined.”

Trump’s Accusations of Governmental Misconduct

In a further critique, Trump accused Biden and his supporters of being “election-interfering thugs” who have inflicted irreversible damage on the nation’s fabric. He called for immediate CIA intervention to halt the continuing degradation of safety, national security, and democratic integrity across the country. Additionally, in posts on X, Trump lamented the state of the nation under Biden’s leadership, describing the U.S. as a “laughing stock all over the world.”

Trump’s criticisms align with two tragic events that underscore his point. In New Orleans, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, driving a pickup truck, fatally struck at least 15 people. The FBI is investigating Jabbar’s possible ties to extremist groups. Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, an explosion caused by makeshift explosives outside the Trump International Hotel has led to an ongoing investigation of an Army veteran from Colorado.

The Biden Administration’s immigration strategies have been scrutinized extensively. Critics argue that these policies have spurred a surge in illegal immigration and a collapse in border control. A recent House Oversight Committee hearing highlighted these issues, noting a marked increase in encounters at the southern border and criticizing the administration’s ineffective enforcement strategies.

As national security concerns mount, Trump’s sharp criticism of Biden’s immigration policies highlights a deepening divide on approaches to law enforcement and border security in the U.S. This discourse sets the stage for significant political and operational challenges as the country grapples with its policy direction and safety protocols.
