SGF unveiled Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth mainline entry in Capcom’s franchise, set for February 27, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, per GameSpot. Dying Light: The Beast confirmed an August 22, 2025, release, while Onimusha: Way of the Sword showcased a new trailer, targeting 2026, per Kotaku. Other reveals included Mortal Shell 2 and Atomic Heart 2 for 2026. Sony’s June 4 State of Play introduced 007 First Light, with IO Interactive confirming a gameplay deep dive this summer.
Summer Game Fest 2025 was a fantastic show that I really enjoyed watching, Resident Evil 9 showing up alone puts this up as one of the best already but everything else really was the cherry on top
