A suicide bombing followed by gunfire led to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to four foreigners in the Landhi Mansehra Colony area in Karachi.
Following the detonation of an explosive device by a suicide bomber near a vehicle at a bus stop, rescue teams swiftly responded to the scene. The victims were immediately transported to Jinnah Hospital to receive urgent medical care.
Authorities are currently working to identify the deceased. Among the injured are Noor Muhammad, son of Muhammad Siddique, and Langar Khan, son of Sawan Khan, both aged 45 and critically injured.
Following the incident, police and security forces immediately secured the area and began searching.
Police investigations revealed that the attack targeted a Hiace van carrying Japanese nationals. While four foreigners were reported safe, the deceased were believed to include the attackers themselves.
DIG East Azfar Mahesar, who visited the incident site, confirmed that two attackers were killed in the suicide bombing, with another accomplice managing to flee the scene.
DIG Mahesar further explained that the targeted foreigners were en route to the Export Processing Zone when their vehicle was attacked. The explosion also resulted in damage to another vehicle and a motorcycle nearby.
