Pakistani design house Sania Maskatiya has been making inroads across the border. After a successful debut show at Lakme Fashion Week earlier this year, the brand achieved another feat, as fashionista Sonam Kapoor was featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan India’s latest issue.
“We are enthralled to see Kapoor wearing a piece from our ‘Sakura’ collection on the cover of Cosmopolitan India’s October issue,” says Maskatiya. “The process began when we were invited to showcase a collection at Lakme Fashion Week, where we showcased the collection,” she adds.
Kapoor sports a printed cropped bustier with an aplomb structured skirt in the cover photo. “During our stay in India, we met lots of Indian designers and journalists, who appreciated and showed interest in our collection,” she shares.
