Sindh government presents Rs739.3 bn budget for FY 2015-16

Sindh Minister for Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah presented the budget for next financial year 2015-16 with a total outlay of around Rs 739.3 billion in Sindh Assembly Saturday.

Presenting the budget Shah said that the development expenditure of the province is estimated at Rs 213.6 billion including the provincial Annual Development Program of Rs 177 billion.

The provincial revenue expenditure is estimated at Rs 503.34 billion against budget estimate of Rs 436.09 billion for current financial year indicating increase of 15.4 percent.

Shah also announced that the total receipts for the next financial year are estimated at Rs 727 billion as against budget estimate of Rs 672 billion for current financial year showing an overall increase of 8.2 percent.

Ten percent Adhoc Relief Allowance on running basic pay has been announced for all the employees of Sindh government with effect from 1st July 2015.

The budget shows an overall increase of 7.7 per cent as against the budget estimate of Rs 686 billion for current financial year.
