Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian premier Narendra Modi Thursday had a brief informal encounter at a regional summit of South Asian countries.
On second day of the summit of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc), leaders huddled behind closed doors at a picturesque Himalayan hill station just outside Kathmandu.
Both Sharif and Modi had a brief encounter as they shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
Relations between the two nuclear-armed nations are tense following Indian refusal to hold bilateral talks and unprovoked firing from across the line of control and the working boundary.
