Pakistani security forces thwarted a major militant attack on a check-post in Lower Khurram Agency and killed at least 12 terrorists in retaliatory fire early Thursday morning.
According to details, a group of around 50 militants launched attack on a check-post in Mingorsar area, where armed forces retaliated in a befitting manner and shoot dead 12 of them.
The others managed to flee.
Lower Kurram is a sensitive area and it borders with Afghanistan.
