Sahir Hasan, the son of noted actor Sajid Hasan and currently under arrest in connection with the Mustafa Amir kidnap and murder case, has disclosed that narcotics are commonly ordered by college and university students through smartphone applications.

Despite his arrest, Sahir Hasan denies allegations that he directly supplied narcotics to educational institutions. Instead, he described a process where students themselves initiate orders online, eventually leading to widespread narcotics use across campuses.

Details of Narcotics Trade in Karachi

Senior Superintendent of Police Shoaib Memon highlighted the involvement of two major groups in Karachi’s narcotics trade. One group imports drugs from California, while the other distributes Iranian narcotics. The police’s crackdown has focused particularly on the group dealing with Iranian narcotics.

The recent arrests, including that of Sahir Hasan, have significantly disrupted the narcotics supply in Karachi, making drugs less accessible to users. Sahir Hasan further elaborated on this during his testimony, where he also implicated several businessmen, politicians, and others in the drug trade.

Sahir Hasan admitted to his long-term involvement in the drug trade, specifying that he managed transactions through social media platforms like Snapchat and made payments for drugs via online transfers. The drugs were reportedly smuggled through courier companies.

In the latest court developments, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi extended the physical remand of Sahir Hasan and other accused individuals by five days. This court session was part of a broader legal process aimed at unravelling the connections and the scope of the narcotics network linked to the Mustafa Amir murder case.

As the investigation progresses, authorities continue to peel back layers of this complex case, revealing the intricate web of narcotics trade within Karachi’s elite circles. The ongoing legal proceedings and police investigations aim to bring all involved to justice and close the case of Mustafa Amir.
