Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) announced its decision earlier today to move the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over Nawaz Sharif’s qualification as a National Assembly member.
PTI’s Ali Mohammad Khan and Murad Saeed will approach ECP today with regard to this issue. Khan and Saeed will file a petition in ECP against Nawaz’s nomination papers with a demand that action be taken against Nawaz under Article 62, 63 on the basis of which he is ineligible to become a National Assembly member.
PTI alleges that the premier is convicted in the Asghar Khan case and helicopter hijacking cases and must be dealt according to the law.
