A police official was shot dead at Akbar Chowk, Lahore earlier today while another was reported to be injured.
Two robbers on a motor bike shot one of the police officials, identified as Ghulam Mustafa, thrice. The two cops were taken to Jinnah Hospital, where Mustafa was pronounced dead on arrival.
The other police official was released from the hospital after receiving medical assistance.
Both the robbers managed to flee after the shooting and the police are carrying out further investigations into the incident.
