KARACHI: Actor Aymen Saleem has joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), citing former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto as a lifelong inspiration.
Saleem made the announcement at a press conference alongside PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro. She said Bhutto’s political journey has influenced her since childhood, encouraging her to believe women should not limit their ambitions.
Saleem described her decision to join the party as a personal commitment rather than merely a political choice. “This is a promise for me,” she stated.
During the press conference, she said she wants to use the party platform, along with her education and experience, to work for the betterment of Pakistan and its people.

Before pursuing a career in entertainment, Saleem worked in investment banking and consulting in New York. She later transitioned into acting and gained recognition through the 2021 drama “Chupke Chupke.” Although she temporarily stepped away from acting that year, she eventually returned to the screen.
