Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Friday personally apologized to the opposition for what he called ‘unfortunate’ comments made by Choudhry Nisar Ali Khan against PPP’s Aitzaz Ahsan.
Speaking at joint session of the parliament, the prime minister said that he was not happy over the statement of Federal Interior Minister Choudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
“I have personally excused with Aitzaz Ahsan and the Pakistan Peoples Party,” he said, requesting the opposition to forgive and ignore Nisar’s comments.
He also requested the parliament to focus on key issues facing the country at this point of time.
The prime minister said that he was pleased that the parliament was united for the supremacy of law, constitution and democracy.
Mr. Sharif said, “Head of the states of Maldives, Sri Lanka and China have cancelled their visits to Pakistan. China was about to make investment of $ 34 billion in Pakistan. This was an agenda for Pakistan for next 20 years.”
“We have a big objective ahead to achieve. Once this situation defuses, we will sit and talk on the issues.”
He said it is a larger cause that everyone is united here. We should now come to the track and forget the minor issues that erupted a day ago.
