Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight operations resumed on Monday further improved in Karachi  Tuesday as a flight PK-7338 carrying more than 300 pilgrims from Jeddah landed in Karachi.

This was second flight landed at Karachi airport following the strike of PIA employees.

Sources said flight operations are also returning to normalcy in Islamabad where PK-7336 flight carrying Umrah pigrims landed.

Also, flight PK-4232 took off from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi, PK-451 Islamabad to Skardu while PK-262 landed in Islamabad from Abdu Dhabi.

Around three dozen flights were operated from different destinations, while work at the airlines headquarters also resumed after a pause of a week.

The number is on rise of planes from the fleet of the national flag carrier taking part in the flight operations.

According to PIA’s spokesman, the flight operations from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Gilgit airports have been restored. He expressed the hope that things will normalize soon.

He clarified that there is no truth in media reports regarding aircraft operating with technical faults.

On Monday, two PIA flights carrying Umrah pilgrims landed in Rawalpindi and one in Karachi. The pilgrims expressed their joy and excitement upon returning home.

PIA offices at Blue Area, Islamabad and Edgerton Road Lahore have reopened.

One PIA flight took off for Dubai and another for Damascus on Monday.

Chances of resumption of flight operations for Quetta, suspended for more than a week, are also become bright as two flight from Lahore and Islamabad will likely to land there today (Tuesday).
