The government coalition partners assured prime minister Shehbaz Sharif their unwavering support in selecting the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the chief of army staff.

The coalition partners were invited to a meeting based on a single-point agenda.

Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and co-chairman of the PPP, pledged his support to PM Shehbaz during the meeting and stated, “You are the prime minister, and the Constitution has accorded you this authority and privilege.”

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the leader of the PML-Q, informed PM Shehbaz that making the appointment was “his constitutional right.”

The leader of JUI-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, lent the prime his backing.

He added at the gathering, “We stand with you no matter what the prime minister decides.

The fact that the premier had the full backing of the coalition partners, according to PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, was a source of pride for the party.

We stand with you in every decision, Mian Sahib, added Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who was also present at the event.

The MQM’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui offered the premier his support and praised his initiative to consult coalition members.

Dr. Khalid Magsi of the Balochistan Awami Party declared that he “firmly” supports the prime minister in all of his decisions.

PM Shehbaz was informed by Aslam Bhootani, a Balochistan-based independent coalition partner, that he supports his choice.

According to Mohsin Dawar of the National Democratic Front, the prime minister has the power to designate key officials.

Aftab Khan Sherpao of the Qaumi Watan Party and Shahzain Bugti, the minister in charge of narcotics control, both expressed faith in the prime minister.

“You are responsible under the Constitution. We agree with and applaud your choices, “During the meeting, Bugti added.
