Passengers trapped at the Karachi airport on Sunday night, conveyed their fear and confusion to their families and friends though texts and messages. Initially thought that it was a hijacking but as the explosions and the near non-stop gun fire started taking its toll, the fear of the passengers turned to stark terror which was magnified when all lights were switched off.
However, as the situation was gradually bought under control by the security sources the tweets were full of praise for the professional handling of the crises by the Pak army and other security agencies.
