Pakistan’s Internet connectivity affected

Due to a “dual cut in the terrestrial part of SEAMEWE-5,” internet users in Pakistan experienced internet network connectivity issues.

In a Twitter message, Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) stated, “Dual cut in the terrestrial segment of SEAMEWE-5 between the cities of Abu Talab and Zafrana in Egypt have been reported. Alternate arrangements have been made to provide uninterrupted #internet services to the users. Work is underway to remove the fault.”

NetBlocks, a global internet monitor, tweeted that the internet outage affected Pakistan, Indonesia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Yemen, Oman, Somalia, and Chad.
