Pakistan condemned the terrorist attack in Dhaka that led to the loss of precious lives and caused injuries to many innocent people, a statement issued by the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs read.

Pakistanis “extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the brotherly people and government of Bangladesh over the loss of innocent lives and wish the injured speedy recovery,” it further added.

The ministry further reiterated Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Earlier, the Foreign Office informed the media all Pakistani diplomats and their families are safe in Dhaka.

“We are in contact with Pakistani diplomatic staff and they are all safe,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said, quoted by television channels on Friday.

Zakaria added that Pakistani diplomatic staff has restricted their movement following the attack. “We have confirmed that there is no Pakistan national among the hostages,” he said.
