At a post-Hajj press conference, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Talha Mehmood declared that all Hajj expenses would be collected in US dollars from next year.
The minister congratulated the 160,000 Pakistani pilgrims who completed the Hajj.
During the conference, Mehmood lauded the efforts of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammed bin Salman, noting that Hajj 2023 in Jamarat passed without significant incidents and that most pilgrims seemed pleased with the arrangements.
Mehmood emphasized the comparison of this year’s Hajj with the one in 2019, as not all pilgrims could perform the Hajj in 2022.
Significantly, the month-long post-Hajj flight operation began on Sunday. This operation aims to provide a seamless and memorable wrap-up for the approximately 82,000 pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme, facilitating their reunion with their families.
