New Zealand achieved the target effortlessly, losing only two wickets and wrapping up the game in just 10 overs. Both wickets were claimed by Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem, who ended with impressive figures of 2-6 from his two overs.

Earlier, Pakistan scored 128-9, thanks to a resilient half-century by captain Salman Agha. Salman scored 51 but was dismissed in the penultimate over. He and Shadab Khan, who made 28, briefly steadied the innings after a dismal start that left the team reeling at 52-5.

Jimmy Neesham, the standout bowler for New Zealand, removed Salman and Shadab, finishing with figures of 5-22. New Zealand’s bowling was further bolstered by Jacob Duffy and newcomers who exploited the conditions effectively, disrupting Pakistan’s top order.
