Quetta : Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Malik Baloch on Saturday to discuss the deadly Mastung incident which left at least 22 people dead.

PM asked Chief Minister to speed up the operation against militants in the province and arrest the culprits involved in the brutal incident.

Both the leaders discussed holding an all-parties conference (APC) to review the law and order situation of the province.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister met the families of victims and assured them that an operation against terrorists is underway. He also promised a compensation to the families. The negotiations between the families and government failed after which police resorted to shelling and aerial firing to disperse the protestors.
