Police on Sunday conducted a massive search operation in Peshawar and claimed to have arrested around 80 suspects, including at least one foreigner.
According to SSP Operations, Najeeb-ur-Rehman, the search operation was conducted in phase 6 and 7 of Hayatabad, a posh township adjoining the tribal areas.
He said 80 suspects were arrested, adding that illegal arms and ammunition were also recovered from many of them.
He said a Sri Lankan was also among the arrested. Police said the man has been living in Peshawar illegally for last eight months.
The suspects were shifted to undisclosed locations for interrogation purposes.
